I'm most interested in learning new things deeply, then putting what I find back out into the world — usually as software, sometimes as writing.

Some of the questions I get stuck on turn into apps. Some stay short interactive pieces. A few become essays. The site is the workshop floor: things at different stages, in different shapes, made for the joy of making them as much as for anyone else.
